Our New Solar Installation

We are pleased to announce the completion of a large rooftop solar photovoltaic system, one of our most important “green” projects to date. This system will generate almost 90% of our facility’s total electricity needs, replacing traditional power from the utility grid with clean, onsite renewable electricity generated from the sun.

Important "Green" Projects

With a total capacity of over 1,560 kilowatts, this is one of the largest rooftop solar projects in New York State. Switching over to solar brings environmental benefits not just for Clare Rose, but for the entire Long Island community and beyond. The reduction in our carbon footprint is huge, equating to about 2.5 million pounds of emitted CO2 avoided per year, among other greenhouse gases. The energy savings–equivalent to about 144,000 gallons of gas per year–will significantly reduce our electricity costs, which can allow us to invest in better ways to serve our customers.

“It’s not enough to be the largest Anheuser-Busch InBev wholesaler in Long Island—we also want to be the greenest.”
